Think of owning a solar system like owning a garden. They both build a sense of self-determination, and provide some independence from larger supply chains. Giving you the option to be more self-sufficient when you're in need. Sure, not everyone can fully equip themselves with a farm or an off grid solar system, but having more options is a step in the right direction.
